I am concerned about recent electric rate increases affecting Ameren customers. Many residents were not aware of or given a meaningful opportunity to weigh in before these increases moved forward. From what has been communicated, the costs appear tied largely to infrastructure expansion — including preparation for large energy users like data centers — rather than measures that will lower future household electric costs. That shifts financial burden to everyday consumers without clear consumer benefit. Rate decisions should prioritize transparency, public input, and affordability for Missouri households. We shouldn't be stuffing the pockets of Ameren executives and data center CEO's. We need immediate reform. |
